It would make you laugh, if it didn´t make you weep. In fact there would be little to laugh about, if you ever came up against the Geboers. Why are they the way they are? Is it their background? Misspent youth? Is it the age they are living in? Is the country to blame? Politics? Or are we all Geboers brothers?

The work of the Flemish author, theater-maker and translator Arne Sierens covers a wide spectrum. His texts are frequently performed, both in the Netherlands and abroad. Sierens employs experimental narrative forms; he does not write plays with a beginning, a middle and an end, and has little regard for psychology. What fascinates him is epic theatre; daily reality presented in a non-realistic way.
